DescriptionRecoil inserts are rolled from high quality 304 stainless steel wire with a diamond steel cross section, wound to the shape of a spring thread. Each kit comprises of: HSS tap installation tools, stainless steel inserts and an instruction leaflet. Recoil inserts are the quick and easy way to repair damaged threads or creating stronger original threads in alloys and composite materials in original equipment manufacture. Made from corrosion resistant stainless steel, which creates stronger threads in most materials, and simplifies changeover from unified to metric or vice versa. Reduces thread wear, and interchangeable with other brands of inserts or tooling.
