Approved Document B (Fire Safety) requires that AOVs (Automatic Opening Vents) and OVs (Opening Vents) are provided to common corridors and stairs in apartment buildings to provide effective smoke control (in compliance with EN 12101) to enable evacuation in the event of fire. A full range of Powrmatic Louvred and Flapped AOVs, Glazed Louvred AOVs , Smoke Shaft Dampers and controls ensures that safe means of escape are maintained and regulatory requirements are met in high rise apartment buildings.
