Non-destructive Syringe and Container Inspection

Insuring adequate syringe silicone lubrication and particle free packaged drugs are important quality gateways in the production of pre-filled syringes and vials. PMT has unique non-destructive inspection technologies available through ZebraSci that allow drug manufacturers to establish lubrication standards through automated Silicone Layer Inspection for their syringes and automate the visible inspection process for both visible and sub-visible particulates according to USP 788 and USP 789. The systems are scalable machine vision technologies that can be migrated from bench top quality assurance activities to full scale 100% inspection of the finished product in production. The Flex S is validated to resolve lubricant oil quantity and distribution in pharmaceutical containers such as syringes, cartridges, and vials. The Flex system is designed to accommodate a range of common primary container sizes without changing parts. The optics and automation at the heart of the Flex system are the same as our high speed EVO system, but are designed to be compact and is well suited for lab environments.
