Tim Plunkett established Plunkett Associates in 2005 to address the need for a reliable, impartial and knowledgeable resource, through which British manufacturing companies could order prototype and low volume production parts. Our clients don’t necessarily have the time, expertise or contacts to source their own suppliers for prototype or production parts, and Plunkett Associates was founded on that premise. How we work depends entirely upon you and your requirements, but with access to a full complement of rapid prototyping (RP) technologies from Stereolithography (SLA) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) to the more conventional CNC machining, injection moulding and tooling technologies, we will deliver quality prototype and production parts in your timescales. In order to keep client requirements a priority despite constant changes within the industry, and with ongoing Brexit movements in mind, Tim Plunkett has recently set up a second company, Adept Precision, in order to tackle the low volume, fast track tooling and moulding projects that were proving more difficult to source. Adept is a sister company to Plunkett Associates and is represented by them in the UK. They provide Prototype and Production Tooling along with an integrated moulding capability, currently from 4 machines. In partnership with Plunkett Associates, the complete package is available to fulfill all client project requirements, with knowledge and experience of additional value added services such as design and post processing options readily on hand.
