A timber adventure play area and wetpour surfacing upgrade designed to create a more engaging family-friendly outdoor space.

Overview

Gilpin Bridge Country Inn wanted to significantly improve its outdoor play offering to create a more attractive and enjoyable environment for families visiting the venue. The existing play area had become dated and no longer reflected the quality of the setting or the experience the client wanted to offer.

The goal was to create a safer, more engaging and more visually appealing play space that would encourage longer stays and make the venue even more appealing to family visitors.

The Challenge

The existing play area needed a full rethink to better meet the needs of the venue and its customers. The client had already arranged the removal of the old play equipment, surfacing and fencing, and required a new solution that would:

• Provide a stronger and more exciting play experience
• Suit the style and setting of the venue
• Offer durability for heavy family use
• Include safer surfacing for confidence and compliance
• Add interactive features for wider play appeal

The finished result needed to feel like a clear upgrade both visually and practically.

Our Solution

PlayQuest supplied and installed a new adventure play space tailored to the client’s requirements, centred around robust timber equipment and a clean, modern finish.

The installation included:

• Ultimate Strength Square manufactured from timber
• Basket Seat Swing manufactured from timber
• Recycled plastic fencing
• 4 interactive game panels integrated along the fencing line
• Wetpour safer surfacing throughout the play zone

The combination of timber play equipment and recycled plastic boundary elements created a strong, attractive and durable play environment, while the wetpour surfacing delivered essential impact protection and a neat, low-maintenance finish.

The Outcome

The result is a dramatic transformation from a tired and limited play area into a large-scale, high-value outdoor play destination for visiting families.

The new play zone now provides a far more exciting and inclusive experience, with opportunities for climbing, swinging, balancing and interactive play.
