Situated opposite the City of London, the borough of Southwark extends from the south of the River Thames down to the historic villages of Rotherhithe, Walworth and Dulwich. the borough of Southwark was formed of the three former metropolitan boroughs, Bermondsey, Camberwell and Southwark.
