Typically the process will involve the use of two moulds; a blank and a blow mould. The first is used to create a parison. The second is designed to suit the final dimensions of the piece. Once air is blown into the parison, it will be blown outwards until it takes this shape. Now you only need to allow it to cool before removing the finished piece. In order to manufacture glass containers effectively and achieve a smooth surface finish, moulds need to be created with great care and properly maintained. This is crucial because even a small error can result in a weakness or flaw in the finished container.
