The pumping action and operation of the barrel pumps is quite simple, the pump tube is inserted into the opening of the container (bunghole) which typically is a 2 inch aperture, once the pump tube is immersed in the liquid the pumping action is done by the rotation of an impeller which is fitted at the bottom of the pump, the rotating impeller pushes the liquid up, towards the pump tube outlet and out of the discharge side of the pump. There are several pump tube lengths each designed specifically for the various drums and containers available on the market, the most common are 1000 mm for 205 l drums, 1200 mm for IBC's and 700 mm for smaller containers - 25 litre jerry cans, 100 litre tanks etc. FLUX F300 pump series has been designed for light - medium duties and low viscosity fluids up to 250 mPas/cPs, these range of pumps can also be supplied as a complete pump kit containing a discharge hose, hand nozzle and compression glands depending on the specific model, fume glands and foot strainers are also available upon request. The F314 JUNIORFLUX pump range is supplied with fixed single-phase dual speed motors, (110V and 230V) these motors have an integrated overload cut-out switch for added operational safety. Standard materials of construction are PP, PVDF and AISI 316, immersion tube lengths are 500, 700 and 1000 mm, depending on the model these pumps can be supplied with three different external tube diameters 25, 28 mm for containers with narrow inlet ports and 32 mm for higher flow rates - up to 56 l/min. Design Features/Benefits • Sealless pump in fluid section.• Compact and light design, with integrated ergonomic handle.• Highly engineered PTFE bearings.• Suitable for containers with small inlet ports/narrow-necked openings.• Dual speed single phase double insulated motors with overload cut-out switch• Can be used with a hand nozzle or pump against a close valve.
