Welcome to Noggin End Metals — we're a small, friendly supplier of metals and plastics based in Stoke-on-Trent, right in the heart of the Potteries.

We mainly serve model engineers and hobbyists, but we're just as happy to help small businesses, jewellery makers, or anyone else who needs a small quantity of material rather than a full mill-length bar. Our range covers the materials you'll actually reach for at the bench: aluminium, brass, bronze, copper, cast iron, silver steel, stainless steel, engineering plastics, and some of the trickier-to-find grades too, including EN24T high tensile steel and high-tensile aluminium (Dural).

If you need something larger, longer, or just a bit unusual, get in touch. We like a challenge, and if we don't already stock it, we'll do our best to track it down or suggest an alternative that will do the job.

We offer free UK shipping on online orders over £130, and we try to keep turnaround quick. As a small operation, our schedule does shift around the model engineering and steam shows we attend through the year, so you may see the occasional note on the site if dispatch is running a little behind because we're away exhibiting, or simply enjoying the hobby ourselves.

That's really the heart of it: we're enthusiasts first and suppliers second. We know what it's like trying to track down an odd length of silver steel or a small offcut of bronze for a project, because we've been there ourselves, and we'd rather help you finish your project than tell you the minimum order is bigger than you need.
