Memorial Friendship Bench

Earlier this year Neptune Street Furniture got to work closely with St. Monica’s Primary School in Sholing, Southampton to produce one of their famous Buddy Benches for the school in memoriam of a pupil who tragically passed away. Zoe Donneaud was loved by fellow pupils and staff and was unfortunately taken far too soon due to a brain tumour. To remember her and honour her legacy, her parents and the school wanted to get a bench made ready for when her classmates graduated from Year Six and moved onto Secondary School. This bench was bespoke to the school, with custom engraving applied on the recycled plastic slats and now sits proudly on the school grounds for all to take advantage of. The Buddy Bench is situated next to a tree which was planted in her name, which will grow and give pupils old and new a reminder of Zoe and the kind and pure heart she possessed.
