Matcon UK 'Open Day' – Applying Lean Manufacturing Solutions to Powder Processing Industries

Matcon is a global leader in the field of flexible powder handling systems using Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) technology and has recently moved to new purpose-built facilities in Evesham, Worcestershire, bringing all of its UK-based operations under one roof. For the first time in our new location, the company welcomed potential and existing customers to showpiece the brand new test facility. ‘Live’ powder demonstrations were held during the day, as well as brief, pointed presentations about ‘lean powder processing’. This showed clear links to how Matcon’s solutions and concepts can revolutionise our customers powder process and packing operations by applying Lean solutions, helping to achieve increased productivity, process efficiency, flexibility and profitability. The event was very well received by all participants, who visited from 6 different countries and a variety of industries.
