MATCON AGENTS CONFERENCE ASIA & AUSTRALIA NEW ZEALAND

On the 23rd April Matcon’s Asia Pacific team hosted a three day Agent’s conference in Malaysia. Attended by over 26 delegates representing 14 countries the conference provided the perfect opportunity for the team to deliver training, share product updates and host discussions on the latest activity across the region. Following a morning of introductions followed by discussion about the latest industry trends and news, the agents shared their experiences of how the market has developed in their specific country and gave opinions on how customers’ needs are changing. Across the three day conference, Matcon’s team provided updates on existing products, sharing ideas on new product development and enhancements to service plans. The Matcon Regional Leaders presented some very interesting case studies from a range of Food factories around the world, demonstrating how Matcon equipment solved powder and material handling issues, they showed examples of how equipment implementation has delivered increased return on investment for the customer. The event was attended by After Market Manager Dave Bowles who presented on Matcon’s Customer Support programme and process, to demonstrate how existing customers are being supported in Europe and US. The aim of Dave’s presentation was to share best practices that have benefitted customers in these regions and provide advice to agents in Asia about how they can deliver a consistently high level of service to customers. The conference also welcomed Mike Cotter from Pacific Process in New Zealand who used his in-depth knowledge and experience of the dairy industry to explain how hygiene requirements have changed in the dairy industry and demonstrated how these can be met. The conference highlight was a site visit to a new Food Ingredient production site where the agents saw a modern efficient factory with some of the latest Matcon technology. The conference concluded with a team building session with delegates sharing ideas on how customers’ requirements can be fed back to the group in the future, leading to improved collaboration in the region.
