LAUNCH LATE 2007: Hospitality Academy The Hospitality Academy has been established to challenge the conventionally accreditation approach. Customer service and quality will be judged by the creativity and initiative of the employees and employers, along with evidence of customer satisfaction and a constant strive to improve and excite. But it won't stop there!!! The Hospitality Academy will also look at safety issues within the workplace for guests and employees, the importance of local, organic and healthy food, the environmental awareness of the company, and how it is all communicated to staff and guests. There are 12 standards all of which much be achieved (if applicable), to gain the accreditation: * Front Office Operations * Revenue (rooms and meetings) * Security * Food Safety * Health and Safety * Bar and food service (including banqueting) * Housekeeping and hygiene * Environmental Management * Food experience and nutrition * Leisure * Stock Control * Conference Operations Benefits to the Guests As well as a fantastic customer experience, guests will also be assured that they are staying somewhere that cares about food issues, is safe and is concerned about the environmental issues threatening are planet. Benefits to You Certain standards such as revenue have been designed to concentrate of system housekeeping and revenue capture; trials have indicated that in all cases revenue has increased. Standards such as food hygiene and health and safety will ensure that you are compliant with all current legislation. All properties that achieve the accreditation will be listed on a dedicated website which will detail areas in which that property has exceeded expectations. The website will NOT act as a third party booking agent, and therefore will not take any fees. All accredited properties will also be eligible to discounted training services, details of the training offered can be found on other pages of this website. THE HOSPITALTY ACADEMY WILL BE LAUNCED EARLY IN 2007. DETAILS OF THE FREE LAUNCH DAY WILL BE RELEASED SHORTLY.
