ISO 9004:2009 – Sustained Success

This new Standard was approved on 1st October 2009. It provides guidance to support the achievement of sustained success by promoting self assessment as a way of measuring the maturity level of the organisation. It is based of course on ISO 9001 but addresses in further detail key performance indicators and continual improvement. How well will it be taken up? Its intentions are good so hopefully it should be supported well by industry.
