Why MOT Type 1 Matters

A driveway or patio can look excellent on the day it is finished and still fail early if the foundation underneath has been rushed. MOT Type 1 is commonly used because it creates a dense, compactable layer capable of supporting the surface above.

The mix contains a range of particle sizes that lock together when properly compacted.

The amount required depends on the size of the area, the finished levels and the loads it will carry.
