Calculating Play Bark Depth and Coverage

Play bark is used to create a softer surface around play equipment, but its effectiveness depends on laying enough material across the whole fall area. A thin decorative layer will not perform in the same way as a properly designed play surface.

Start by measuring the full length and width of the area that needs covering.

The ground should be prepared before the bark is installed.
