OHSAS 18001 accreditation for Lorien

Lorien Engineering Solutions has been awarded OHSAS18001, the internationally recognised assessment standard and specification in recognition of its dedication to the provision of a safe workplace. Commenting on the firm’s latest accreditation, Lorien’s health and safety manager Brian Youl said: “We are delighted to achieve the OHSAS18001 standard. It reflects Lorien’s commitment to a safe working environment, an open and honest culture and continuous improvement. “Our people are our most important asset and the OHSAS 18001 Policy and Procedures have been written with their health and safety as the paramount consideration. In addition to this latest accreditation, Lorien is to be awarded a RoSPA Order of Distinction in May 2014 for the eighth successive year, representing 22 years of Gold Awards from RoSPA. The company is a corporate member of RoSPA, and also of aPS (Association for Project Safety).
