Engineering Polish Success

Lorien Engineering has appointed a Managing Director for its Polish branch to meet growing international demand. Łukasz Kolendowicz will take on the new role of Managing Director at Lorien Engineering Polska after the firm established its presence in the country two years ago. The firm now wants to capitalise on recent successes and grow the business in Central and Eastern Europe. Previously, Kolendowicz worked for the PM Group in Poland as Operations Director, and has international experience working for Irish and French companies. Kolendowicz is also a qualified structural engineer with an MSc in Management in Construction with extensive experience of the design and implementation of multi-disciplined capital projects in varied sectors including food, pharmaceutical and general manufacturing. He lives with his family in Wrocław in south-west Poland where Lorien Engineering Polska is based. Steve Slater, Managing Director of Lorien Engineering Solutions, commented: “The Lorien brand is now well positioned and our team of professional engineers and project managers are delivering consultancy, safety compliance and project delivery services to an increasing number of clients in Poland. Following a strategic review, the board concluded that the Poland office has now completed its establishment phase and is moving into a strong growth phase, both within Poland and the broader Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. To support this growth we have succeeded in attracting an MD who is familiar with our sectors, clients and business model.” Lorien Engineering provide key technical and project management services to clients in the food, brewing, drinks, and life sciences sectors, delivering capital investment projects and safety compliance work on an international basis. The company has also invested significantly within sustainable energy and sustainable construction market developing a range of consulting and implementation skills.
