Off Highway Machines

Gradually approaching lower-emission drives

With every new generation of types construction machines have to comply with more stringent emission standards. For that purpose the manufacturers make use of measures inside the engine or extra gas treatment. This is accompanied by more and more compact designs and as a result higher power density along with testing of alternative drive designs such as hybrid machines. In every case the industry’s innovative pressure is high and the burden on the designing departments as well, since every adaptation to new standards requires a new selection of the complete drive train. The same applies for the couplings between engine and splitterbox or hydraulic pump(s) as well as the cooling systems.

As a development partner and supplier of the international manufacturers of construction machines and industrial engines we support our customers with adapting the drives to new demands and emission standards. Optimizing existing drives and coupling systems by torsional vibration calculations plays an important role here. Afterwards the results can be verified on our test field at our headquarters in Rheine and in Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock. Due to the additional exhaust technology the emission-optimized engines require a cooling system with optimized power which we select via in-house software tools and verify by tests.

Our product portfolio covers a wide range of torsionally rigid, flexible and highly flexible flange couplings, tailor-made multi-circle cooling systems and highly efficient compact coolers, pump mounting flanges and hydraulic brakes.
