Happy 30th Birthday... to a rotary table!

This week we took a trip down to Plymouth to visit our customer and supplier, PTG WORKHOLDING LIMITED, to celebrate a very special milestone.

Thirty years ago, they purchased a Kitagawa RS160 4th Axis Rotary Table from us. Three decades later, it's still going strong.

To put that into perspective, this rotary table has been in service since before smartphones, before social media, before Wi-Fi became part of everyday life, and it has worked through events including the Millennium celebrations, the 2008 global financial crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of Industry 4.0.

Of course, an occasion like that deserved a birthday cake, balloons and a card! While the celebration was all in good fun, there was a serious message behind it.

Quality engineering isn't just about performance on day one. It's about delivering accuracy, reliability and value year after year, decade after decade. When a Kitagawa product is properly maintained, it isn't unusual for it to remain a dependable part of production for many years.

In a world where so much is designed to be replaced, it's refreshing to celebrate something that's built to last.
