Monarch Aircraft Engineering opened its new hangar at Birmingham

When Monarch Aircraft Engineering opened its new multimillion pound hangar at Birmingham Airport in November 2013, JMS were asked to supply our market leading transformers and distribution units. The requirement was to provide reliable, portable power where needed in these vast hangars. The 10kva three phase site distribution transformers provide safe, portable power and were supplied (due to the requirement of high manoeuvrability) fitted with wheels. This allowed the transformers to be moved under the fuselage and wings once the aircraft were in the bays. The site transformers were supplying sets of MCB protected, 110volt outlet assemblies, providing additional, localised power to the technicians for their power tools, task lights, extensions leads and cables, all needed in servicing the fleet.
