IWM is preparing for Siemens Transform 2026, taking place on 15 and 16 July at Manchester Central.
The company has been selected by Underwoods, a key Siemens distributor, to represent the food and beverage manufacturing sector at this major technology exhibition.
A show built around connected manufacturing
Transform 2026 brings together industry leaders to explore how automation, monitoring and connectivity are reshaping modern manufacturing.
Each industry sector at the event is linked through a central technology hub, demonstrating how data and smart control systems are driving the factories of the future.
While the main exhibition stand and core event are being delivered by Underwoods and Siemens, IWM will have its own spotlight.
The company is bringing a purpose-built demonstration cabinet washer to the show, fitted with a dedicated display screen that puts its engineering and technology front and centre.
Representing food and beverage manufacturing
IWM’s presence at Transform 2026 is specifically focused on the food and beverage sector.
This industry faces some of the toughest hygiene, compliance and efficiency demands of any manufacturing environment, and it is exactly where IWM’s washing systems are built to perform.
By showcasing its demonstration machine within the food and beverage pillar of the event, IWM can speak directly to the challenges this sector knows best: strict regulatory standards, high-throughput requirements and the need for consistent, repeatable cleaning results.
It is also a chance to show how connected technology, from Siemens control systems through to live data monitoring, is becoming just as important to food and beverage manufacturers as the washing process itself.
Engineering the future of industrial washing
The demonstration machine has been designed specifically for this event and future collaborations.
It is fully operational, although it is not a commercial product in itself.
The real story is what sits behind it: Siemens control systems, smart automation and intelligent monitoring, all built on IWM’s engineering expertise.
This is where the theme for the show comes in.
IWM: Engineering the Future of Industrial Washing reflects how the company is combining decades of manufacturing quality with the latest connected technology.
What visitors will see
The display will highlight three key areas of innovation.
Smart monitoring will show live water usage data, energy monitoring and smart machine controls, all designed to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Collaboration will demonstrate how working alongside global partners such as Siemens allows IWM to combine premium components with British engineering.
Cyber security will highlight the steps IWM is taking to protect connected industrial equipment as more systems come online.
Alerts and notifications for operators and management will also feature, showing how misuse prevention and real-time data are becoming standard parts of modern washing systems, not optional extras.
Why this matters for food and beverage manufacturers
As food and beverage factories become more connected, the businesses that adapt fastest are the ones that benefit most.
Live data on water and energy use helps identify inefficiencies before they become costly problems.
Smart controls reduce the margin for operator error, which matters in an industry where compliance failures carry real consequences.
As washing equipment connects to wider networks, cyber security stops being an afterthought and becomes part of the design process from day one.
For manufacturers in this sector, these developments mean tighter compliance, lower running costs and washing systems that fit into a genuinely connected production line.
