Industrial Friction Materials Ltd was founded in 1975 by Cecil Price and has grown into a respected third-generation, family-run business with a proud reputation for quality and service. Based in Cardiff, South Wales, we supply and manufacture friction and brake solutions for industries across the UK and worldwide.

Our core expertise lies in the supply, relining and refurbishment of brake and clutch components, serving everything from small motorcycles to large industrial cranes and heavy plant machinery.

Over the years, we have expanded our capabilities to include machining, casting, fabrication and procurement, giving our customers a complete service that covers both standard and bespoke requirements.

We work with a wide range of specialist materials including carbon, ceramics, Kevlar, bronze, graphite and woven composites. This diversity allows us to design, manufacture and restore parts to exacting standards, ensuring safety, durability and performance. Many relining jobs are completed within 24 hours, offering customers the fast turnaround times needed to minimise downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
