H.T. Products were recently awarded the prestigious Smart Award by the Department of Trade and Industry for research and innovation in the field of leak technology.
H.T. Products conducted unique research into the use of compressed, stainless steel powders in leak elements as an alternative to traditional quartz glass, capilliary or membrane leaks, which are fragile and expensive.

Sinter-type leaks have the advantage of being:
Extremely durable and considerably more robust than more traditional leak technologies.
Highly resistant to temperature change. (Less than 0.5% per °C)
Comparatively quick and inexpensive to manufacture.
Stable under high pressure differentials and with a huge range of gases.
Easily incorporated into systems or products without a large detrimental effect on calibration, even when welded.

The Smart Award grant helped us to develop a full calibration and construction process for sintered leaks upon which we have acquired a patent (no 0309268.1). We can supply sintered leak elements to manufacturers for use in original products or with standard fittings for general use:
Calibrated to flow rates below 1x10-9mbar litre/second.
For use with any specified gas.
