Grant announces change to Board of Directors

Grant today announced changes to its Board of Directors. Walter Herriot has decided to hand over the reins as Chairman of the Board to Dr. Mike Evans, effective of 1st August 2018. "After 10 years of service, I've decided to step down and place the reins firmly into Mike’s capable hands," said Walter. "Since I joined Grant's board in 2008 I've been committed to board evolution and continued business success. I'm proud of the company that we have built and the growth we have made to date and, will continue to keep a close eye on Grant’s future developments." "Walter has been an exceptional leader within the boardroom environment and has demonstrated great passion about doing the right thing for Grant," said Linda Harvey, Grant’s Managing Director. “I and the rest of the Board would like to wish Walter the very best and thank him for his longstanding service to Grant, helping to shape Grant’s growth and build a strong base for our future success." "Mike joined Grant in December 2017 as a Non-Executive Director and has been instrumental in his advisory position," said Linda Harvey. "We look forward to developing our strategy for growth under his leadership.” Mike brings with him extensive executive experience having held a number of senior positions across companies with similar industry backgrounds, namely Oxford Gene Technology (OGT) and GE Healthcare/Amersham Biosciences. Mike holds a BA, MA and DPhil from the University of Oxford. The appointment of Mike will strengthen our ability to do the best we can for the business, our shareholders and customers. Mike added: “I’ve enjoyed working within the Grant business immensely in the short term and I am thoroughly looking forward to playing a principal part in the future of the business and its continued success.”
