Plastic Product Stand Project Brings Praise

A plastic-based product demonstration stand developed for the UK’s largest hygiene services provider has bought praise for its manufacturer Wrights Plastics. PHS’s Head of Product Marketing Philip Hudson declared “It has been a pleasure dealing with the team at Wrights, highly professional and efficient delivering a quality bespoke product against a challenging schedule”. The project, Wrights Plastics largest to date with the Caerphilly-based company, saw the development of a stand used to demonstrate a range of hand-driers. The stand needed to be durable, lightweight, portable and compact as well as flexible-enough to be used for as many as five different hand-drier models. The West Bromwich-based plastic fabricator achieved this, creating a sleek and contemporary looking stand in clear and black acrylic that folded down for ease of storing and transportation. In addition the design incorporated key branding & product information, printed directly onto the clear Perspex® upright. Wrights Plastics, which employs around 150 staff at two manufacturing bases, specialise in bespoke acrylic Point of Sale (POS), Point of Purchase (POP) and retail display products and work with a range of big name brands including Marks & Spencer, The Arcadia Group, Tesco and Gala Coral. Established in 1969, they remain a family-owned business earlier this year they acquired retail display manufacturer Mid West Displays. Speaking at the conclusion of the first stage of the product Mr Hudson stated ““Wrights Plastics were selected for this project, as they offered a bespoke design and development service. PHS worked with the design team at Wrights Plastics to detail the requirements for this stand…Since the initial run PHS have repeated the process to expand the number of dryers being demonstrated using this stand.” Mike Wright, MD of Wrights Plastics said “We are really pleased with this project and delighted that PHS are equally as happy! The project made us of our complete end-to-end services; we helped with design at the beginning of the project, and PAT tested, assembled & distributed the finished stands.”
