Metal embossing forms a design into suitable sheet metal using pressure and tooling, creating raised or recessed detail rather than simply marking the surface.

The finished design has physical depth, making the process useful for tactile detail, repeated patterns and durable identification. Accurate dies are central to producing a clean, repeatable result.

The metal itself also affects what can be achieved. Thickness, hardness and surface finish all influence the way the material responds, so a design that works well in one material may need to be adjusted for another.
