Fischer (GB) Ltd at CAMTEC II, the symposium on fine scale mechanical characterisation

CAMTEC II is the second in the series of specialist symposiums, this time held at the prestigious Downing College, Cambridge, UK, on March 29th-30th 2010. Speakers and attendees of the symposium are by personal invitation only due to the specialist nature of the symposium. Dr.Hans-Peter Vollmar and Gottfried Bosch from the Helmut Fischer Group were part of the 80 or so delegates, presenting a poster on Enchanced Stiffness Procedure (ESP) applied on soft or hard µm coatings. The UK subsidiary - Fischer Instrumentation (GB) Ltd – participated in the Industrial Exhibition of 8 manufacturers for micro hardness instrumentation. Fischer were exhibiting the FISCHERSCOPE® HM2000 a computer-controlled measuring system for micro hardness testing and the determination of material parameters according to ISO 14577. Applications include paint, synthetic or hard material coatings (PVD, CVD), electroplated coatings (decorative, functional), materials used specifically in medical technology applications and electronic components and bond wires.
