About us

first4playgrounds are a North East based company specialising in the design, supply and installation of playground markings and playground equipment to schools and Local Authorities throughout the UK. Since 2013 the company have completed several hundred playground markings and playground equipment installs throughout the UK from our base in the North East of England. We work closely with schools and Local Authorities on the design phase of each project to ensure that we fully understand the needs and aims before preparing detailed computer generated plans of the install. Once approved we then meticulously plan dates and times of the install to make sure we don’t impact upon the daily routines of the school or facility.

The playground markings are manufactured on our own fully computerised large format cutting machine to get highly detailed, crisp and accurately fitting graphic shapes out of thermoplastic base sheets. We only use the highest quality preformed thermoplastics for our playground markings. Manufactured to exceed ISO 9002, these thermoplastic markings are hard wearing, non toxic, environmentally friendly and can last up to 10 times longer than traditional painted products… plus, most important of all, they look great!

Adding playground markings are an exciting, colourful and cost effective way for schools and Local Authorities to brighten up plain tarmac areas. Our vibrant designs improve children’s play time with firm favourites such as Hopscotch and Snakes and Ladders which can also provide useful teaching aids for numeracy and literacy

Our playground marking installations are guaranteed for up to three years* with the thermoplastic material itself guaranteed for five years.
