2-Wire Fire Systems for Easier Installation

Firesense highlights the practical advantages of 2-wire fire alarm systems for installers planning new developments, upgrades and refurbishment projects. By allowing compatible detection and alarm devices to use a shared pair of wires, these systems can reduce cabling requirements compared with traditional four-wire arrangements.

The Firesense range covers 2-wire fire alarm control panels, smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, sounders, visual indicator devices, visual alarm devices, interfaces and essential accessories. Customers can also explore compatible products from ranges such as Fike Twinflex.

For appropriate offices, shops, schools, residential premises and other small to medium-sized buildings, this wiring approach can simplify installation and help minimise disruption. Equipment must still be selected to suit the building, with compatibility, system design and relevant fire safety standards checked before installation.
