Delegates attending potentially explosive atmospheres, and hazardous area (Ex) equipment training courses often face significant challenges with the course content and assessments. The disparity in foundational knowledge can hinder some delegates from fully grasping the complex material, leading to lower success rates in assessments and professional certification.
Similarly, delegates coming to EPIT’s training facility from an integrated service provider for UK North Sea platforms for their CompEx 01-04 and CompEx Recognised Practitioner Programme (CompEx Refresher) courses, faced intense challenges due to the complexity of the material. Many delegates underestimated the course difficulty, especially those who had completed the course over five years ago. This resulted in a number of failures due to inadequate preparation for the course – including forgotten information and unawareness of recent updates in the course content and standards applied since their last course attendance.
