Helping Rural Families and More on Milk

Enduramaxx is proud to supply rainwater tanks, fertiliser tanks and all other vertical and horizontal tanks to the wider agricultural industry. With Christmas approaching, we like to hear about issues affecting the agricultural sector. We were warmed to learn of an initiative that’s helping less well-off farming families enjoy a plentiful Christmas. Rural Support, the country’s farming and rural charity in conjunction with wind energy company, Simple Power, have teamed up this Christmas to launch the charity’s Christmas Hamper Scheme. The scheme aims to deliver some 100 hampers to hard-hit families in need throughout Northern Ireland. Now in its third year of operation, the charity is calling on local food and drink producers and suppliers to contribute items for the hampers for agricultural families in need this Christmas. Not such positive news, but another group of farmers in the run up to Christmas are threatening protests against Tesco after talks over reducing the large amount of New Zealand lamb on sale throughout their stores broke down. Members of the lobby group, Farmers For Action and North Wales sheep farmer representatives were part of talks with Tesco on Thursday 3rd December. Let’s hope that issues can be worked out in favour of our farmers.
