Self-Install AisleLok Sliding Doors Expand Upsite Technologies Modular Aisle Containment Solution

AisleLok Sliding Doors provide a tool-less, self-install solution for Cold & Hot Aisle Containment applications. Upsite Technologies has recently added AisleLok® Sliding Doors to its modular containment product range. AisleLok Modular Containment provides an out-of-the-box, self-installable cold or hot aisle containment solution that helps control IT equipment intake temperatures, improving equipment life and reliability, as well as enabling energy cost savings at the CRACs as part of an overall airflow management strategy. AisleLok Modular Containment, distributed in EMEA by EDP Europe Limited, is the data centre industry’s first modular, out-of-the-box aisle containment solution that can be self-installed in minutes. It is designed to offer the airflow management benefits of hot and cold aisle isolation, but with a higher flexibility than traditional aisle containment solutions. Roof top baffles attach to the top of racks in a non-intrusive manner and are either angled for cold aisle containment or upright for hot aisle containment applications. End-of-aisles have been enclosed until now by the AisleLok Bi-Directional Doors, but now there is an alternative option with AisleLok Sliding Doors. AisleLok Sliding Doors are designed for easy, tool-less, self-installation and require no drilling or mechanical fixing to the racks. The doors utilise specially designed posts that attach to the racks using Upsite’s exclusive Magswitch® technology, enabling them to be installed to virtually any cabinet with steel side panels. The design allows the doors to be easily removed and reinstalled as the data centre or computer room evolves without the need of third party engineers. Available in Black or White, the doors close with gravity and come in two different widths to accommodate aisle widths up to 1.98m (6’ 6”) and any cabinet 1.93m (76”) or higher. A Transom Window that fits to the top of the door header enables the doors to be used with racks from 42U to 45U and 45U to 50U. Large see-through polycarbonate panels in the Sliding Doors and Transom Window increase safety and security and are fire rated to UL94H-B with other fire ratings available on request. AisleLok Sliding Doors will be launched to the European market at Data Centre World exhibition at London’s ExCeL centre on the 21st & 22nd March.
