Many power supplies are now being used in harsh environments and to help our customers protect their applications and improve the life of their power supplies, Ecopac Power now offer an exclusive facility to conformal coat several of our Mean Well high wattage power supplies. Ecopac Power’s conformal coating is a particularly efficient way to protect the circuitry of its Mean Well power supplies, the MTBF of the power supply can be greatly increased by the protective coat. The conformal coating is generally applied at the manufacturing stage by a 3 stage dipping process. This acts as a protection layer to seal components against moisture, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes. Mean Well RSP-1500-CC Series and RSP-3000-CC Series Most of the RSP-1500 Series and the RSP-3000 Series that Ecopac Power stock are conformal coated as standard. However we can conformal coat most of our Mean Well power supplies including the SP-750 Series, SP-320 Series and the RS-150 Series. Typical applications for conformal coated power supplies are any applications that are exposed to high humidity or chemicals, any Outdoor display LCD screens, message signage, lab equipment, measurement equipment and traffic controls.
