Pallet Racking, Berkshire

DMA was chosen by Electric Mania to provide a pallet racking solution for their new premises in Wokingham, Berkshire. The brief was to maximise the use of 2,200ft² of warehouse floor space with pallet racking for UK pallets. After the initial installation, DMA was once again engaged to provide additional pallet racking for Electric Mania’s continued expansion into another 2,200ft² of warehouse space adjoining the existing buildings. For both installations DMA worked closely with the client and a local fork lift company to design a solution that provides narrow-aisle pallet racking accessible by an articulated fork lift truck that can operate within a 1650mm clear aisle. The racking was designed using 2700 mm wide beams with a maximum 2000 kgs u.d.l. capacity, located within 900 mm deep frames. The frames supplied were 6500 mm high, with three beam levels located at 2000mm pitches. Upright protectors were fitted to all front facing uprights and load notices applied to the ends of runs of racking. In addition to the pallet racking, DMA also supplied and fitted all the lighting and electrical works for the warehouse, along with Longspan shelving for smaller products and security grilles.
