This comes following a 0.3% fall reported in August and represents a -0.2% quarterly change. The average property price is now £298,441 compared to £298, 395 in August. Northern Ireland leads the way in house price growth with an impressive +7.4% according to the report.
Andrew Asaam, Mortgage Director at Lloyds, said: “While the market overall has been fairly subdued, property prices have so far proved resilient during a period of higher mortgage rates, which has been driven by changing expectations around the future path of Base Rate . That’s mirrored in wider economic data, with household spending holding up better than many expected despite energy and other cost pressures arising from the Middle East conflict.”
With Northern Ireland leads the report with annual house price growth increasing from 6.8% last month and a new record high average price now at £231,917.
