WS: Orbit and Shaft Centerline Analysis on Turbomachinery
Orbit and Shaft Centerline Analysis on Turbomachinery Tuesday, September 30, 2014. 10am (Pacific Time, USA). Analysis of orbits and shaft centerline data are two aspects of vibration analysis unique to large turbomachinery supported by fluid-film bearings. This web seminar will focus on analysis and correlation of orbit and shaft centerline data, which can provide valuable insight into root cause of rotor vibration problems. In this session, you will learn about: Compensating orbits for runout Interpreting orbit shape and orientation Referencing shaft centerline position to the bearing clearance Predicting normal shaft centerline position changes Analyzing orbit and shaft centerline data together Rob Bloomquist has more than 25 years of experience providing condition monitoring and reliability consulting services to power and process industries, including over 16 years of experience in vibration analysis, troubleshooting, alignment, and balancing of large turbomachinery. Rob is currently Product Manager for turbomachinery diagnostic products at Data Physics.
