Forestry Commission Designed Bridge

Forestry Commission Designed Bridge CTS supplied and erected a 39.8m x 2.4m Stress Laminated Cycle Bridge in Cannop for main contractor Alun Griffiths. CTS had recently completed another Forestry Commission designed similar bridge on the Pennine Bridleway Nr Horton in Ribblesdale and have gained valuable experience and working methods for erecting this style of structure. Working once again to a Forestry Commission design, CTS supplied the main arch laminated to site, cut and pre-drilled before constructing the main arch and tensioning to load. A water repellant coating was then applied to the top of the arch before the deck was added to complete the bridge.
