Artists Truss– Curved Bespoke Vierendeel Details Client: Marton Civil Engineering Location: Pengam, Bargoed, Wales Length: 18m Width 2m Form: Curved Bespoke Vierendeel Project Description An exciting bridge which involved a close working relationship with the Client and artist who derived the concept of the bridge, to ensure structural buildability gelled with artistic intent. The parapet architectural intent was an intricate mesh of curving and raking bars which sprang from the curved top boom. These were painstakingly set out and welded by hand in our factory. The site was in an extremely remote area and installation relied upon close coordination of all members of CTS installation team as sightlines from crane to loci were limited.
