Stamps are engineered from hardened steel and rated to endure stamping on soft and hard metals such as silver, gold, copper, brass, pewter and aluminium. It can also be used on mixed media such as clays, leather, card, wax, wood, glass and some fabrics. The design of this stamps measures 3mm. It is lightly coated with oil to prevent rust. Sharp character edges ensure crisp, deep impressions project after project. Characters are marked on side of the stamp for easy identification and orientation. The case features labelled slots for each stamp to keep them organised and for easy access. Lowercase set includes full lowercase alphabet and 7 bonus design stamps. To use this ImpressArt metal stamp, place your metal on a steel bench block or anvil. Strike stamp with an appropriate hammer such as a brass mallet (997 3134, 997 3135) to create the stamped design. The striking force will determine the depth of the stamped design. For a bold contrasting outline to your design, rub over the stamped design with permanent marker (999 I329) or acrylic paint, before removing the excess ink with a cloth or paper towel.
