This Fretz Maker Small Embossing Hammer has a long head with small domed faces of different curvatures, one is 9.7mm in width whilst the other is 11.8mm, ideal for smaller precise work such as filigree or small vessel forms. This hammer can also produce dramatic texturing on flat or curved metal and doming or stretching metal. It can work pieces from the back or inside to create three-dimensional forms, a technique called Repoussè. Delivering precision, whilst being built for toughness and durability, this hammer is a scaled down version of the Fretz Jewellers Small Embossing Hammer (999 7417), is it a much lighter tool perfect for use with lighter metal gauges. The head is made from 420 grade stainless steel and features highly polished faces secured to a handle beautifully crafted from North American ash, oil finished and shaped to give you a light touch.
