How To Fix Bridgeport Vmc Fault

One of our many aerospace customers reported a Tool change problem with a Bridgeport VMC. The clamping mechanism inside the spindle had failed, the spindle was removed from the machine for inspection/repair by one of Cnc Repairs spindle agents. After investigation it was found that the belleville washers had collapsed. These were replaced along with the pull stud gripper. The Spindle was then re assembled and tested. Once fitted back onto the machine the Orientation and Z height positions were verified. The customers machine was back in production only 5 days after reporting the fault to Cnc-Repair.
