Surround Sound Speaker plates on Euromod modules This new range of speaker outlets complements the existing range of surround sound speaker plates available from Clear Vision Systems. The new range of speaker plates are mounted on a standard 100mm x 50mm Euromod module, so they can be fitted to any faceplate for a perfect match, including flat plate and screwless versions. Speaker plates allow you to pre-wire your home for surround sound. With the two and four speaker terminal Euromod modules already available from Clear Vision Systems, an entire installation can now be pre-wired with matching faceplates of your choice. Install the cables inside the walls, place the 5.2 surround sound plates behind your receiver or amplifier and the speaker wallplates behind each speaker or subwoofer. Simply plug in the speakers and amplifier and your system is ready to go. The new speaker plates are available in two versions with either gold posts or flat terminals and in either white or black finishes. In the gold post version, the speaker terminals at the front are 4mm gold posts which will either accept 4mm banana plugs, or the speaker cable can be clamped directly into the gold post. The flat terminal version will accept standard 4mm banana plugs. On the rear of both versions are screw terminals connecting to each pair of speaker sockets, which will accept speaker cable with a cross sectional area of up to 6sq.mm. No soldering is required. The sub-woofer socket is an RCA type with an F type socket at the rear. The 5.2 speaker plate is very versatile and can be used to pre-wire your home for a 5.2 surround sound system, or it can allow a choice in the location of the sub-woofer in a 5.1 surround sound speaker system.
