What is a Machine PDI? A Guide to Pre-Delivery Inspections
A Pre-Delivery Inspection, or PDI, is carried out before a new machine is handed over to its owner to confirm that it has been assembled correctly and is ready for work.

The inspection covers safety, quality and operation, including checks on fluids, adjustments, components and the way the machine performs. For equipment such as render spray machines and liquid flow screed pumps, these checks are particularly important because the machinery is expected to move materials under pressure in demanding site conditions.

Completing the inspection before delivery can identify faults or setup issues before they cause downtime on site. It also gives the operator greater confidence that the equipment is correctly prepared when it arrives and can be put into service as intended.
