We begin with a Phase 1 Desk Study-also called a Preliminary Risk Assessment (PRA). This desktop-based investigation reviews historical maps, environmental data, and previous land use to identify any potential contamination risks. If risks are identified, a Phase 2 Site Investigation is required.
Phase 2 involves on-site sampling and testing of soil, groundwater, and ground gas. This helps to determine the nature, extent, and significance of any contamination. We then provide clear, concise reports with recommendations and next steps.
If contamination is confirmed, a Phase 3 Remediation Strategy is developed to outline how risks will be managed or removed. Once remediation is complete, a Phase 4 Validation Report confirms that the site is safe for development and complies with planning conditions.
