From initial risk assessment to post-remediation verification, Castledine Environmental delivers all four phases of land contamination assessment required for planning and development in the UK.

Phase 1 - Desk Study (Preliminary Risk Assessment): We gather historical and environmental data to assess the likelihood of contamination on or around the site.

Phase 2 - Site Investigation: If potential risks are found, we carry out intrusive investigations such as trial pitting, soil and water sampling, and ground gas monitoring to determine the presence and extent of contaminants.

Phase 3 - Remediation Strategy: If contamination is present at levels that pose a risk to health or the environment, we produce a remediation plan in line with current guidance. This strategy is designed to eliminate or mitigate risk and satisfy planning conditions.

Phase 4 - Verification (Validation) Report: Once remediation works are complete, we prepare a final report to confirm that the site has been cleaned and is safe for its intended end use.
