How to accommodate the military and performers for the Queen's 90th Birthday Celebration

Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday Party was a celebration of The Queen’s life, her love of horses, her dedication to the Commonwealth and international affairs and her deep involvement with the Navy, Army and ­­­­Air Force. 900 horses and more than 1,500 participants from around the United Kingdom and the World, 200 of which need accommodation, created a joyful event for The Queen. The 90-year journey took us from the excitement of the birth, through to World War Two, her marriage, the coronation and a reign of more than 60 years. The Celebration used horses, actors, bands and dancers to tell the story. And it was an amazing success, despite the British Summer. So where do you accommodate over 200 people, when you need a location that will host everyone together and not compromise the security of Windsor Castle. The answer is Bunkabin. Bunkabin provided over 200 Junior Deluxe Sleepers, Steps and Bedding Kits set out in a village like formation, on time and as quoted. The benefit of this enabled each nationality or team to stay as a group but also close enough to socialise with others as well as keeping everyone as close to the venue as you could wish for. The celebration was created by the same team that organized the successful Diamond Jubilee Pageant in Windsor in 2012 - H Power Group. "We approached Bunkabin in 2015 to deliver a turnkey accommodation solution for our performers from around the world who were performing at Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations at Windsor this year. Subsequently 200 Bunkabins were ordered and work started on the planning of such a major logistical operation. In 22 days, 200 Bunkabins, complete with bedding kits, were delivered and installed and when our performers arrived they were amazed that we could offer an on-site solution that offered everything they needed. It made for a real village atmosphere with all nations joining together and we couldn’t have asked for more.
