“The question is, are we happy to suppose that our grandchildren may never be able to see an elephant except in a picture book?” 🐘 🐘 – David Attenborough – “A Life on Our Planet” – Netflix • Deforestation is putting more CO2 into the atmosphere than all of the world’s transport combined • Each acre of rainforest releases 76,000 litres of water a year – this will be lost • We will lose the habitat of 6 Million Species • A football pitch worth of rainforest is being lost every 6 seconds. Rainforest protection is one of the most positive things we can do for the sake of wildlife, climate, people, and the planet. At Build-Therm, we realise the urgency to act in the face of climate emergency and are committed to providing building solutions that directly reduce CO2 emissions. We want to go above and beyond, however, and therefore we are a proud supporter of Cool Earth. We believe that working with local people to protect rainforest is the most beneficial climate action there is. Our Team chose to invest in sustainable livelihoods, self-determining people can keep carbon-storing, wildlife-homing and trees standing strong.
