20ft Garden Room Container in Dunmow

Our customer in Dunmow needed these specifications in particular, as the garden room container was to be used as an outside music room. This was for a school – so that they can play instruments as loud as they wish, without fear of disturbing other classrooms! They also wanted something that looked as aesthetically pleasing as possible. This is also why they went for the Larchwood corrugated cladding, as this was made bespoke to their specific needs.

20ft One-Trip Shipping Container

To get the most value for money for the garden room, as it is for a school, longevity is a must. A perfect way to help with this is to use a 20ft one-trip shipping container as this is as new as you can get inside the UK. Corrugated Larchwood Cladding

As with a lot of places, the school wanted more of a warm and cosy appeal, so we offered cladding with a corrugated wood larch. The benefit with this was not only looking good aesthetically, but also taking away from the typical ‘container’ look. We also have other cladding options available as you can see here.

Melamine Lining & Insulation

To ensure the container could be used all year-round (especially in winter!) we lined and insulated the container with a melamine faced chipboard. Melamine was a great option as this further adds to removing the standard look of the container, whilst providing great insulation. In addition, it offers a wipe clean surface which is easy to maintain. Lino Flooring

To add to the aesthetics, the customer went for a “wood effect” lino flooring which also has the benefit of being easy to clean.

Electrics

The electrics for this unit were bespoke for the customer’s needs and includes:External photo of the door of a 20ft Vertically cladded container 5x roof mounted downward spotlights, 8x double sockets with USB ports, 1x fuse spur, fuse board/ RCD and a single phase external connection.

Our standard electrics package comes with 2x double sockets, LED strip lighting, fuse board/RCD & external connection. But these can be modified as required!

uPVC Sliding Patio Doors

Our customer decided that they wanted a particular stylish 6ft Anthracite Grey uPVC Sliding Patio Door that they found themselves online – which we ordered and fitted for them.
