Compact infrared camera with giant storage capacity: FLIR Systems launches InfraCAM™ SD & BCAM SD thermal imaging camera Infrared cameras detect and measure heat which develops in virtually all electrical or mechanical applications prior to a system failure. Applied on a regular basis, thermal imaging or thermography avoids cost-intensive failures and major equipment or plant damage. The InfraCAM SD & BCAM SD are ergonomic, light-weight (550 g) and easy to handle & to operate. The compact but rugged InfraCAM SD measures temperatures from -10°C to +350°C and the BCAM SD measures temperatures over the range of -10°C to +100°C. Both cameras can detect temperature differences as small as 0.20°C. An enhanced sensitivity (0.12 NETD) significantly raises its image quality and allows to seeing smaller temperature differences on the camera’s large and bright 3.5” LCD display. FLIR Systems has equipped the InfraCAM SD & BCAM SD with a built-in SD card slot which stores up to 1,000 infrared images. These images in a standard .JPEG format can easily be shared or downloaded to a PC and directly inserted into standard Windows® programs such as Word®, Excel® and PowerPoint®. The InfraCAM SD & BCAM SD packages also includes the ThermaCAM QuickReport software which allows for an analysis of the captured radiometric IR images and the creation of reports in PDF format. Their low purchase cost enables facility managers, electricians, HVAC technicians and small businesses to benefit from the advantages of infrared. Users can now clearly document their inspections with thermal images and show their customers the problem and its repair.
